先日、香港とアメリカからお越しのご家族が、染物体験にご参加くださいました。
和やかで笑顔の絶えない時間の中、皆さんそれぞれに、思い思いの色と模様で世界に一つだけの作品を作り上げてくださいました。
体験では、日本の伝統的なアイテムである「手ぬぐい」についてご紹介。
使い方を説明すると、皆さんとても興味津々に耳を傾けてくださり、その多様な使い道（タオル・ギフトラッピング・キッチンリネンなど）に「なるほど！」と驚きの声が上がっていました。
また、お子さまは特別に“ストール染め”に挑戦！
のびのびとした感性で染め上げたストールは、とてもやさしく、個性の光る仕上がりになりました。
文化に触れながら、家族で一緒に体験する時間が、日本での思い出のひとつとして心に残っていただければ嬉しいです。

Exploring Japanese Culture Together
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful family from Hong Kong and the United States for a traditional dyeing experience.
The session was filled with smiles and laughter as each person created their own colorful and unique piece.
During the workshop, we introduced the Japanese tenugui—a traditional hand towel with many uses.
As we explained its various functions (such as a towel, handkerchief, kitchen cloth, or gift wrap), the guests listened with great interest and were pleasantly surprised by its versatility.
“I didn’t know it could be used in so many ways!” was a common reaction.
The youngest member of the group took on a special challenge: dyeing a long scarf-style stole.
With a natural sense of creativity and freedom, the result was a soft, beautifully expressive design.
We are truly happy that the family could enjoy a hands-on cultural experience together, and we hope their handmade pieces will continue to remind them of their special time in Japan.
