先日、中学校のPTA活動の一環として、出張染物体験を開催しました。
今回の体験では、ハンカチ・手ぬぐい・ふろしき（中サイズ）の3種類からそれぞれお好みのものを選び、世界にひとつだけの作品を作っていただきました。
完成した作品は、どれも個性豊かでとても素敵な仕上がり！
同じ手順でも色の選び方や模様の工夫によって、全く違う表情が生まれるのが染物の面白さです。
また、「自分で考えて染める時間が楽しかった」「使うのがもったいないくらいきれい！」といった感想もいただき、皆さん笑顔で作品を手にされていました。

Off-Site Dyeing Workshop with the Junior High School PTA
Recently, we were invited to hold an off-site dyeing workshop as part of a junior high school PTA activity.
Participants could choose from three different items—handkerchiefs, tenugui (traditional Japanese towels), or medium-sized furoshiki (wrapping cloths)—and created their own one-of-a-kind pieces.
Each finished work turned out beautifully unique! Even though everyone followed the same process, the choice of colors and the way patterns were arranged gave each piece its own character. This is the real joy of dyeing.
We also received wonderful feedback such as, “It was so much fun to think and decide on my own design,” and “The result was so beautiful, I almost don’t want to use it!” Seeing everyone smiling while holding their creations was truly rewarding.
